Who We Are

Our Story

Over the past two decades, Al Aman Fund has become a leading national model in supporting orphaned youth beyond the age of 18. Established in 2003 as a royal initiative by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and officially registered as a non-profit organization in 2006, Al Aman is the first institution of its kind in Jordan dedicated to serving this critical and often overlooked demographic.
It was founded in response to an urgent need. When orphaned youth leave care homes upon reaching the age of 18, they lose access to institutional support and must navigate adult life independently, often without guidance, stability, or a clear path forward. Without a family safety net, continuing education or building a secure and dignified life becomes a significant challenge.
To bridge this gap, Al Aman has developed a comprehensive support system that enables orphaned youth to pursue higher education in universities, colleges, and vocational training centers. Beyond covering tuition fees, Al Aman provides essential living support, including a monthly allowance, safe housing, health insurance, psychosocial support, and personal development programs, empowering beneficiaries to move forward with confidence and independence.

The name “Al Aman,” meaning “Safety” or “Security”, reflects our mission to provide stability and support. Al Aman empowers orphaned youth by equipping them with practical tools for a better future.

Over the years, Al Aman has evolved from a traditional charitable model into one focused on long-term, sustainable empowerment. Our approach centers on building strong partnerships where every donor becomes a true partner investing in the future of orphaned youth. Together, we create lasting impact.
Al Aman operates under a clear governance framework. The General Assembly sets the long-term vision and priorities; the Board of Directors oversees planning, performance, and accountability; and the General Manager and executive team manage daily operations and program implementation. It remains committed to the highest standards of transparency and accountability, with policies in place to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure responsible stakeholder engagement.

Where We Work

Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans supports orphaned youth graduating from care homes across all governorates of Jordan, ensuring 100% coverage for eligible youth.

The Fund also accepts applications from orphaned youth whose living and financial conditions prevent them from continuing their education.

Applicants are selected based on clear criteria and the Fund’s available resources.

To expand its social impact, the Fund continues to build strong partnerships with institutions in both the public and private sectors.

Eligibility applies to graduates of care homes who meet the Fund’s conditions for support.
