Al Aman Fund has announced a new strategic partnership with Diwan Amman Academy to help orphaned youth pursue careers in teaching. Formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, the partnership will support final-year university students who are benefiting from the Fund’s scholarship and whose majors are relevant to education and teaching. Through the partnership, Diwan Amman Academy will support students’ enrollment in the Higher Diploma in Teacher Preparation program, equipping them with the skills they need to teach and improving their employment prospects after graduation.
The MOU was signed by Eng. Noor Homoud, The Fund Director, and His Excellency Dr. Wajeeh Owais, Diwan Amman Academy, in the presence of Mr. Ibrahim Al-Fahoum, Chairman of Diwan Amman Academy. Under this collaboration, Diwan Amman Academy will support the enrollment of 17 orphaned youth from the Fund’s beneficiaries in the Higher Diploma in Teacher Preparation, enabling them to acquire the professional qualifications needed to work in the education sector.

For his part, a representative of Diwan Amman Academy stated: “At Diwan Amman Academy, we believe that investing in education is an investment in Jordan’s future, and that empowering young people with knowledge and professional skills is a cornerstone of building a more sustainable society. Our partnership with Al Aman Fund extends the Diwan’s mission as a non-profit educational endowment (waqf) that dedicates its net revenues to supporting scholarships for outstanding Jordanian students. We are proud, through this collaboration, to contribute to preparing orphaned youth to enter the teaching profession by supporting their academic journey, opening new career horizons for them, and enabling them to contribute to building future generations. We believe that the true impact of such initiatives goes beyond the direct beneficiaries, reaching students, schools, and society as a whole, and contributing to greater opportunities for development and progress in Jordan.”

In this context, Eng. Noor Homoud, the Fund Director, affirmed that preparing orphaned youth to enter the job market is a fundamental extension of the Fund’s mission to empower them, saying: “At Al Aman Fund, we believe our role does not end when the orphaned youth earn their university degrees and graduate. It extends to equipping them with the skills and qualifications that enable them to build their professional futures with confidence and independence. This collaboration with Diwan Amman Academy opens up a particularly distinctive career path for them in the education sector and strengthens their opportunities to turn what they have gained during their years of study into jobs that help them achieve their aspirations. We are proud of this step, which reflects the importance of institutions joining forces to provide genuine and sustainable empowerment opportunities for our youth.”

This MOU builds on more than twenty years of Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans’ efforts to empower orphaned youth and enhance their opportunities to enter the job market. It does so by building strategic partnerships that facilitate their transition from university life to professional life and develop their abilities and skills, thereby strengthening their independence and enabling them to build a stable future.
